Pipe-in-Liner technology consists of inserting a continuous pipe inside the existing pipeline, creating a new semi-structural lining that reinforces it from within without excavation. Unlike CIPP, it requires no chemical curing or reactive resins: the new pipe arrives pre-formed and is introduced by pulling or pushing through an existing manhole or access point.
How it works:
The process begins with a CCTV inspection and deep cleaning of the existing pipeline —whose structural integrity must be preserved for the solution to work properly. Next, the continuous pipe —manufactured in long reels or extended sections— is prepared and introduced through a manhole or access point. Using winch pulling or hydraulic pushing, the pipe is positioned inside the existing network. Once in place, it is fitted to the internal wall through pressurization or expansion, creating a tight-fit, continuous lining that works in conjunction with the original pipe.
